The NTUSU is committed to represent and safeguard your interests through representations at established platforms with the university and the government.
NTUSU regularly collaborates with the Associate Provost (Undergraduate Education) and the Teaching & Learning Pedagogy Division to provide student perspectives on the university's education policies.
NTUSU encourages innovation via a variety of activities to promote the job prospects of our students. In our latest mega-project, we are looking to rally companies to look beyond grades when hiring students.
NTUSU is part of the Hall Admission Scheme Implementation Committee (HASIC), as well as the Residential Education Board and Management Committees. We represent the voices of students pertaining to hall admission policies, hall fees and residential education matters.
NTUSU holds a seat at the Campus Life Committee (CLC) chaired by the Provost. The CLC discusses issues relating to campus life for students and faculty staff.
NTUSU is part of the University Board of Discipline (BOD), hearing disciplinary cases of students and meting out punishment. We provide student perspectives and ensure that all cases are heard fairly.
NTUSU regularly holds meetings with the Housing & Auxiliary Services (HAS) Transportation Department to discuss strategies to enhance transportation. In 2017, we successfully campaigned for the addition of the Hall 11 Bus Stop (Red Line).
NTUSU holds regular meetings with relevant bodies with the goal of making campus food healthy, delicious and affordable. Recently, we submitted a paper with recommendations to food options on campus to the NTU President.
NTUSU is part of the Undergraduate Orientation Coordinating Committee (UOCC). We represent students on matters such as scheduling and short-term accommodation. Recently, cash advancements were pushed by SU to ease the burden of seniors paying upfront for orientation expenses.
UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD
NTUSU is part of the University Health Board. We provide student perspectives to facilitate affordable health care services on campus, with programmes such as subsidies.
