Hall activities are not compulsory but highly encouraged, especially if you want to stay in the same hall in coming years. That being said, you should still try out hall activities at least once to experience each hall's unique culture. In fact, hall is also a really good place for you to forge ties that will last throughout your University life. Who knows, you might meet your special someone in hall!
