NTU CAC Arts Festival
Organised as a 7-week festival, NTU Arts Festival aims to promote greater awareness and participation in the Arts amongst the NTU Community. NAF is built from 4 portfolios - Programmes, Publicity and Publications, Digital Logistics and Business Management who work hand in hand to deliver our annual arts festival. NAF highlights include Workshops, Exhibitions alongside Internal and External Showcases.

NTU CAC Arts From The Heart
Established in 2004, NTU CAC Arts From The Heart (AFTH) is a Special Project under NTU CAC. It aims to promote the cultural arts in NTU to the public, through performances by CAC’s Member Clubs, while supporting a charitable cause. Every year we will host a fundraising carnival, featuring cultural performances, arts and game booths, while raising awareness and funds for our adopted beneficiaries.

NTU CAC Breakers
Established in 2006, NTU Breakers strives to build a vibrant community of B-boys and B-girls to gather and share their passion for breaking. We aim to provide the best environment for dancers to grow and to spread this dance to the school. NTU Breakers also organizes NTU B-boy Jam to contribute back to the local dance scene.

NTU CAC Business Committee
Business Committee is one of the support committees in CAC. We are the centre of corporate liaison for CAC, and serve to promote CAC as one of the four major constituent clubs on campus. We strive to forge good relationships with external sponsors. We co-organise the Exam Welfare Initiative to provide the students welfare items to tide over the exam period.

NTU CAC CenterStage
Organised by NTU Cultural Activities Club (CAC), CenterStage is a campus-wide all-inclusive talent showcase, seeking to unearth hidden talents amongst the NTU community by providing them with an accessible platform to showcase their talents on a professional stage. CenterStage allows contestants to perform and showcase any form of talent, from dance and music, to even unconventional talents such as cheer and magic.

NTU CAC Chinese Dance Club
NTU Chinese Dance Club (CDC) was established in 1994, seeking to promote the essence and spirit of Chinese Dance. NTUCDC provides a welcoming place for students who want to learn the various styles of Chinese dance, or even experiment with the genre and collaborate with other dance clubs. This year, CDC is preparing for our upcoming biannual Chinese dance concert.

NTU CAC Chinese Drums
NTU Chinese Drums Club welcomes students of diverse cultural backgrounds to delve in the art of the 24 Festive Drums (节令鼓). With passionate drum beats and expressive body movements, the club aims to create impactful performances that offer a modern take on the traditional Chinese Drums style. More than 10 performances are held in and out of campus annually.

NTU CAC Chinese Orchestra
Nanyang Technological University Chinese Orchestra (NTUCO) aims to preserve rich Chinese music heritage and promote greater appreciation for Chinese classical music among the public. We hold many events such as our annual concert Transient Reminiscences, festival celebrations and overseas exchange. We are also invited to perform on many occasions for internal and external organisations, giving many performing opportunities to members.

NTU CAC Choir
For 31 years, the NTU CAC Choir has been a place where individuals with a passion for singing come together to spread the joy of music, ranging from choral to pop genres. The choir performs on both the local and international stage, in countries such as South Africa during the 10th World Choir Games, where we clinch both a Gold and Silver medal in both champion categories. On a local scale, the Choir competed in competitions like the 4th Singapore International Choral Festival, winning the ‘Category Champion’ title and a Gold diploma.

Concert Engineers (CE) provides live sound support for events in NTU and is dedicated to delivering nothing but the best. CE aims to provide live audio for events and performances with competency and efficiency. Incorporating industry-level solutions and equipment, we elevate the auditory experience of all event performers and audience members, promoting the vibrant campus life in NTU.

Since inception, Contemp{minated} has developed our artistic flair through a repertoire of performances aimed at engaging and captivating our audience. Through dance, movement, and expression, we hope to nurture individuality and celebrate creativity as we embark on new chapters with our resident instructor Shannon Choo.

NTU CAC DanceSport Academy (DSA) is a Latin Ballroom Club that aims to bring people with the passion for Latin dance, from different backgrounds, together as one. With our 5 genres: Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble, dancers have the opportunity to venture from social dancing to performing for events and even advancing to competitive DanceSport!

NTU CAC Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe
Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe aims to promote and propagate passion for the traditional Chinese cultural artform of Dragon and Lion Dance via weekly trainings. We also organise the annual NTU Institutional Lion Dance Competition for institutional troupes, from the primary to tertiary level, to come together competitively, motivating young lion dancers to strive for ever greater heights.

Whether it’s leading a show, being human amplifiers or providing joy and laughter in an event, NTU CAC Emcee Club can do them all. Since 2007, our emcees have hosted numerous events both in and out of NTU - from formal ceremonies to corporate events to roadshows. Formally trained by notable industry professionals, our talents are versatile in their hosting and vocal presentation abilities in both formal and informal settings. Some of our notable clients include the Singapore Armed Forces, Ministry of Health, Sembcorp, Asia Malls Pte Ltd, DHL, Nets and many more.

NTU CAC Guitar Ensemble
Guitar Ensemble is a Niibori ensemble consisting of Alto, Prime, Bass, Contrabass guitars and Guitarron, with a diverse repertoire that caters to wide music tastes. We perform for our annual concert, internal and external events, supporting various social causes. If you wish to develop guitar playing or have fun jamming with fellow guitarists, we look forward to seeing you!

NTU CAC Harmonica Band
Harmonica Band has a long history as a musical group in NTU, since its establishment in 1986. We perform different genres of music, ranging from classical to modern pop. Harmonica Band also holds an annual concert, VIVACE, where we perform to a wider audience in well-known venues such as The Republic Cultural Centre (TRCC) and the Esplanade Recital Studio. Through our performances, we aim to inspire interest in this versatile instrument, while enjoying ourselves in the process.

NTU Harmonix is a contemporary a cappella club founded in 2015. As passionate singers and harmony makers, we always strive to achieve new heights, and bring the best music into the a cappella scene. Check us out in our annual production, as well as numerous tidbits on our social media!

NTU CAC Indian Dance Club
Indian Dance holistically develops budding and experienced dancers from the NTU student community in various Indian dance forms such as Indian Folk, Bollywood, and Indian Classical to name a few. We offer regular dance classes as well as performance opportunities. Most notably, we have performed at Chingay 2021 (Top 5), EarthHour, Confluence and many more! All are welcome!

Since its inception in 2005, NTU CAC Jazz & Blues has developed into a community of enthusiastic musicians with robust learning and performing opportunities. Alongside weekly trainings and dedicated instrument-specific sectionals, the club organizes a concert in each semester to provide members with a platform to showcase their talents while exposing the general public in NTU to jazz and blues music.

NTU CAC Joint Dance Concert
The Joint Dance Concert (JDC) is an annual dance concert organised by the Nanyang Technological University Cultural Activities Club (NTU CAC), featuring the eight major dance clubs of the school, as well as prestigious and renowned guest performers. Since its inaugural concert in 2007, JDC has been providing a platform for our dancers to showcase their talents and it also offers an opportunity for all others to cultivate their appreciation for this form of art.

NTU CAC Lindy Hop
The NTU Lindy Hop club aims to create a community of like-minded individuals who share the love for dancing to jazz music, specifically the genre of Lindy Hop. We are an inclusive and warm family where everyone is welcomed to learn our dance form. Due to Covid-19, we have learnt Solo Jazz but our enthusiasm and love for jazz dancing has yet to fade!

The Logistics Committee manages the provision of logistical support for CAC’s member clubs and committees. The Logistics Committee also works closely with other committees in organising annual CAC events such as Bonding Day and CAC Day, recognising and placing paramount importance on sufficient behind-the-scenes support for successful events.

The Media and Information Technology (MIT) Committee aims to provide accessible media support to the various clubs in NTU CAC. Other than that, also providing an inclusive learning environment for members to share and learn. With event coverage, workshops, and photo walk around the calendar year, members can learn and build up their media skills along the way.

NTU CAC Orientation Committee
The Orientation Committee organises the Transition & Orientation Programme (TOP) for all incoming freshmen of NTU. Through fun and interactive activities, freshmen are given the unique opportunity to interact with other fellow freshmen outside their hall or faculty. TOP also provides the freshmen with exposure to the Cultural Activities Club (CAC). Showcasing the various CCAs CAC has to offer for the freshmen to take up. Regardless if you’re freshmen or senior, the Orientation Committee invites you to join us for a fun and exciting time!

NTU CAC Piano Ensemble
Since its establishment in 2002, NTU Piano Ensemble (NTUPE) has engaged many piano enthusiasts in the university. NTUPE has programmes for members of all backgrounds, ranging from performances and workshops for professional pianists to our Mentoring Programme for students who wish to try out learning how to play the piano.

NTU CAC Salsa en Sync
Salsa en Sync aims to teach the Latin dance form, Salsa to our members. Salsa features extraordinary partner-work, intricate footwork and complicated turn patterns and body movements. Get the chance to perform at the annual Joint Dance Concert organised by CAC or even with our partner studio JJ Dance Movement! You could also get the opportunity to compete with other individuals who recently picked up Salsa in our annual Inter-tertiary Salsa Competition (ITSC).

As one of the five support committees in NTU Cultural Activities Club, we serve to facilitate the bonding and cohesion of all the CAC Members through organising 2 key events: CAC Member’s Night and the Annual CAC Cynosure Ball.

NTU CAC Soul Funky Pop & Lock Club (SF) is a dance club focusing primarily on the genres of Popping and Locking, with the ultimate goal of preserving funk culture in NTU. For new dancers and experienced dancers alike, it acts as a door to the vibrant funk scene, with opportunities to face fellow dancers in friendly dance battles.

NTU CAC Symphonic Band allows passionate wind band musicians to come together with like-minded peers to make music. NTU Symphonic Band holds several performances a year, the highlight being Sojourn, our annual concert which aims to showcase the musical abilities of our musicians and share their love for music through challenging and captivating pieces.

Established in 2019, the newly expanded Symphony Orchestra promotes excellence in classical music and provides a platform for students to learn and perform a wider repertoire of music. The Orchestra hopes to inspire with our music and leap to greater heights through our annual concerts, ad-hoc performances, and school, corporate or wedding events that come our way.
